Belonging

Belong to your body
Let your body belong to you.
Own each movement
Let the movement own you.
Be inextricably part of this planet’s whole,
Belonging, in whatever moment (awkward, powerful, beautiful, broken)
You find yourself in.

Themes are always an invitation, a thread to pull that might bring deeper awareness or expansion in the practice, and “Belonging” is no different. There’s something in doing our own dance that opens others to do their own dance, so the invitation tonight is simply to dance you and let yourself belong — to yourself, to the whole, to the dance, to whatever moves in you.

“Belonging doesn’t require us to change who we are; it requires us to be who we are.” Brenè Brown
